Not sure why I did but while I was on FB today I went to TWD page. I clicked the episode comments and among the whining about Rick and Michonne having no chemistry there was a new complaint. "Rick is not thinking about his kids. They're basically the towns kids. They are bad parents. He's always leaving them for someone else to take care of." Blah blah blah. Like its the first time the kids were left in the care of family members while out ensuring the survival of the whole group. I think its just something else to complain about. What do you think?

I feel your frustration.
For what it is worth there are those people who are going to bitch moan and complain just for the sake of bitching moaning and complaining. When I read those types of comments that just drone on and on about the same shit on a different day I often wonder what living hell it must be like to live with someone like that LOL.
Put a ruffled dress on me, tie my hair up in piggy tails and call me Pollyanna but damnit I like looking to the positive side rather than the negative side. I know that all is not perfect with TWD, but I prefer to applaud and cheer for the good and only sometimes complain a wee bit about the not so positive.
How boring would it be if Rick stayed behind the walls of Alexandria to do nothing but watch his kids. He is the leader, he is the the person spear heading the war against Negan. It stands to reason that he will not be behind the walls, that he will need to rely on his family to help with the care of Judith. Team Rick lives by the code of it takes a village to raise a child! Judith is going to be one helluva an adjusted kiddo

Rick just wanted to escape reality and live in the moment with the love of his life, Michonne. That is a very normal reaction from someone who is under a ton of stress for so long. It happens IRL too, let alone in a world where you see loved ones smashed to bits until their eyes pop out.

I saw this comment on the old forum as someone was reviewing the episode. Alot people are negatives about this episode. I saw that scene as a honeymoon type of escape. We all do this especially with all the stressor's we have in life, we need a break. So Rick's reaction was normal and I didn't mind it.

Well, in reality I wouldn't let my kid out of my sight. But that's the momma bear in me. But this is a TELEVISION SHOW. And how boring would it be if Rick just hoovered over his kids the whole time? Plus most dads aren't that way in reality either, hoovering over their kids. They are back in Alexandria with people who are taking care of them. Judith is really the only one who needs care anyhow. Carl is basically grown now and can handle himself. Rick has to get out and get things done! It was a honeymoon escape somewhat. But look at all the guns and supplies they got while out. Let them enjoy themselves a bit. Michonne, please do not get pregnant.  |

I also saw posts that Lori got hate when she couldn't find Carl or leaves others to watch him...but Rick leaves for 3 days and he barely got the hate she got. Carl is not the boy he once was when Lori was alive. They were left in capable hands. Tara, Carl, Rosita, Gabe, Aaron was there.
My only problem with Rick and Judith was in 7A - he left Olivia of all people to watch her. That didn't make any sense to me. Yes, Carl was there, but leaving her in charge. It was odd.

It's OK, everyone has a role. There are plenty of folks in society today who don't wish to venture outside the walls. Ask the complainants what role they would play within this society. smh. And yes, Rick and Michonne deserve a honeymoon of sorts. I've never been a shipper of this couple, but it is what it is. |

I AGREE WITH THOSE PEOPLE!! Rick probably hasn't said the word KORRRRAL in weeks! He probably forgot Judith's name too. What about being a dad? Koral probably would give anything to toss the pigskin around with his dad right about now. Sure, he's got no depth perception so the football will likely hit him in the face EVERY TIME.
