9 easy. Seemed like every event lead to a bigger event. Now Everyone we need is ready to fight. Great episode.

I gave it an 8.
I would've liked if Gavin were more sympathetic; too many of Negan's lieutenants imitate him. I'd have liked if Gavin knows his crew thinks he's soft with Ezekiel, so Richard's ruse forces him into a show of strength, which leads to Benjamin's death.
On the next supply meeting, Gavin not only orders the Savior dick to walk back to Sanctuary, he apologizes to Ezekiel and says Benjamin was a good kid.
I thought it was convenient that Morgan just happened to kick the box hiding the cantaloupe. I'd have preferred if Morgan had suspicions over Richard's behavior and words, and did some detective work.
I didn't expect Richard to die yet, especially by Morgan's hand.

This was the best episode of the season for me. I gave it a 9.
This half of the season is much better than 7A. A big reason is that we have less Negan. While I really like the comic character JDM's portrayal is way too cheesy and ruins it for me.

Comment I made about JDM and Negan (Hostilities and Calamities): So yeah, I agree the transposing of comic Negan to TV Negan comes off as cheesy at times, but I lay that criticism at the feet of the writers and SG. Because if the material were always written as interesting and mature as the above scene (above quote) JDM would no doubt be hitting it out of the park each and every time.

Most definitely a solid 9, one of the best and most well-paced and written of the season.

Pros: Morgan told Carol the truth - don't be concerned about everyone else now, when you wanted to be left alone a few days ago.
Awww! Morgan ever the gentleman. He wants to excort her to the ASZ
Jared is such a di*k. Playing with Morgan's stick like that.
They brought a gf for either Ezekiel or Jerry.
Finally Benjamin's dead.
WTF!!! Finally, my boy is back - and its about damn time. Gavin was scared sh*tless when Morgan stepped to him after killing Richard. Who wouldn't be. Beating a man to death with a bat is easy - strangling one....whole different ballgame
Cons: Carol killing walkers with a street sign. Was I supposed to be impressed? Maggie already did that back in S4
I wanted Richard to last longer than his comic counterpart - too bad.
I don't buy Morgan strangling Richrd to death and everyone just looks on in horror.
Now, that Ezekiel is having all his limpy moments from the comics. I hope when the war starts there will not be any repeat scenes. I thought Benjamin's death was going to shake him up to his core, but, I still have concerns. What will it take with this man???
Overall, this episode was good but still predictable. Gave an 8

I thought it was great. Even if neither Rick nor Negan were in it at all.

I'll give it an 8, bc 9's and 10's are hard to come by, and it's worth 8 even if had sucked bc no more 'All life is precious' and "leave me alone' crap.

My one criticism of JDM is how he delivers many of his lines. Often it's as if there is a period after every word. We. Are. The. Saviors. Overall I do agree though that it's Gimple and the writers. I don't know how they look at some of this stuff in editing and think it's good to go. Some of it is even cringe inducing. Maybe Gimple was just so enamored of comic Negan that he lost some perspective on how that's playing out on the screen.
