And this is the place to leave all your love and praise for the bits and pieces that spoke to you....yep, this is the Pollyanna thread.
So share what you liked, loved, what made you feel all the feelings. And if unicorns and glitter are part of the equation then so be it - sprinkle that damn glitter!

It's been a while since we've seen so many of Rick's group outside of ASZ together. I'm excited to see what troubles they get into. Or better yet who they run into.

This was another really good episode for me. It answered a lot of our questions going in. I was right about Dwight being the one that found Rosita. And he wants Negan dead. But sadly it looks like I was wrong about Eugene. I was surprised that Rick's group took the guns from Oceanside. And Sasha's delimna is gutwrenching.

God, I LOVED this episode! First of all, it was great to have a sense of where everybody was. They needed to do that, and soon, if there's going to be an army amassing next week! Like some of you, I wonder if Jadis is the snitch. Hate her; hate her hair.
I loved how the Oceanside scene went down. I always enjoy when our kids have a plan that goes off well; in this case, gathering the guns without killing anyone. You know I love me some Tara, and it was both a relief to see her survive and interesting to watch her psyche throughout this: regretful but committed. Her exchange with Grandma and Cindy was great to watch, b/c it showed how disconnected the former is from the reality of the world, how committed she is to preserving THIS community, making sure that the past doesn't become the present. I thought the fight scene was great b/c it really showed who was up for the fight; who believed that this could happen. (Whoever plays Beatrice--her character is ALWAYS a serious hard-ass: in "Supergirl"; in "Agents of Shield"; in this.
And Sasha...oh, Sasha. SMG really showed her stuff tonight, with the range of emotions that Sasha experienced. I got a bad feeling about next week; I suspect I'm like most of you in that regard.
Does anyone else think Gregory's lighting out just to save himself? Or is he gonna try to suck up to the Saviors? Simon gave him the address, right? I did think it was interesting that for all his sliminess, he not only didn't kill Maggie but was also obviously horrified with himself for thinking about it.
This was one of my favorite epis of the season: forward momentum, but executed with a plan; nobody doing anything blaringly stupid or contrived just for plot purposes; an excellent look into so many characters.

I enjoyed the episode too. The show is so much better when it shows different stories and isn't stagnated by bottle episodes.

I'm giving this one a 6. Some of the writing was fine, other parts were shaky. But when is it not anymore. Will be rewatching again!
Pros: •Rick checking with Michonne before she started sniping like a boss. :hearts: •Cyndie laying out her own grandmother for the greater good. •Tara flipping off that little girl again. •Sasha head-butting that jerk-ass. That's our fierce girl. •SMG's acting. Her suicide speech to Eugene was so heart-wrenching, and the fact that it was SMG acting as Sasha acting as if she wanted to die when she really wanted a weapon to go after Negan (I'm guessing this based on her reaction to getting pills. She seemed gravely disappointed not to have an actual weapon) makes SMG all the more talented. I'm impressed with actors who can pull off their characters' acting. :praise:
Cons (concrete and possible): •That would-be rapist, Davey. He needed to die, like, yesterday. And so do those guys who were creeping on Enid. Plus his harassing Sasha led to Negan swooping in to save the day. A good point was brought up in the live thread -- we all know Negan is a hypocrite and a rapist via coercion and terror tactics, but the message his killing Davey sends to the audience is that he's not such a bad guy 'cause he's got "ethics." It just tastes like rape apologism and I'm not here for that. • I'm also not here for a potential army of warrior women who may just sit on the sidelines. Don't introduce Oceanside and show us plenty of the women can fight if their leader isn't going to let them in on the fray. There would be such a sexist undertone to that kind of decision. "We'll allow you to take our weapons, but we won't go to war." That reflects badly on women, painting them as weak or cowardly, and disrespects men too, insinuating that they're the only ones supposed to fight and get killed and that's okay. Oceanside had BETTER fight. •Eugene. I know a lot of you like(d) him and are probably feeling betrayed. Or maybe not, maybe you haven't given up on him. I don't even care about him at this point. Never even liked him and after tonight I like and care about him even less. Sniveling coward. The only one more practiced at it is •Gregory. Judith is more capable of killing a walker than this walking dipshit. And he had the audacity to contemplate killing the pregnant woman who ended up saving his life? You don't get lower than that. Snake. When he was getting attacked, I was chanting, "Please die, please die, please die." One day soon, Gregory. SOON. •Shoehorning Carl and Enid in for literally no reason. Carl was given, like, two lines just to bookend his appearance. "Do you think about the people you kill?" "Yes." What the hell kind of writing is that? What does that reveal? What questions does that stir? Did not like the scene. •Not the biggest fan of how TF approached Oceanside, but I thought about it and have no idea how they could've done it differently. And they were downright diplomatic with Grandma Moses. •Negan is a pervert creep in a different way than Davey was. It's subtler and thus slimier. He thrives on it, rolls in his power like a pig in mud. He makes me sick too. •Toward the beginning, Sasha called Rick Negan's bitch. Whether she meant it or was acting like she wasn't Team Family anymore, I don't know, but Michonne and I do not approve. •I do like, care about, but don't trust Dwight. I hope it will be SOON for him too. They should've done him wanting him to help TF sooner. Thought he'd capture Rosita ugh

Instead they fled to safety and that in and of itself takes a great deal of courage. But I never saw their purpose as being warriors. I see them as a group of women who are together and together they keep one another safe, they keep one another alive. Yes they have a few individuals who are capable of fighting the good fight. But a few fighters and a cache of weapons does not make the community as a whole a group of warriors. And never in 7 seasons of the show have I ever thought that it was being insinuated that only men are suppose to fight and die for the cause I am confused. You have it under your cons list, did you not like this scene? Because you do not like Gregory or for another reason? I am trying to understand what the complaint is exactly. I think that Michonne would applaud Sasha for thinking on her feet in an effort to throw the scent off of Rick and Company

I really liked this episode as well, we've been getting a lot of good ones because as Stealth said, they've stopped doing those bottle episodes following one character/group at a time. To me this really shows the plotlines weaving together now, we can SEE the stage being set for the war over time. Before we had one episode "Hey you're walking on Terminus trucks" then "Hey, now YOU'RE walking on Terminus tracks." Then suddenly a rushed collective at the end that seems really out of place. Our group has really got their work cut out for them on this one...Sasha and Eugene in the Sanctuary, Dwight in a cell at ASZ, the debacle w/Oceanside. SO NERVEWRACKING

They just stood by the sidelines and them no one joined our group. Waste of ammo. But I disagree with you. I wasn't saying that men take over women on TWD. But I blame the writing for this episode mostly. Second point: I dislike his character that's why it's a con. Didn't mean to confuse you Third point: Still didn't like the scene. But I did like how they remixed it then stick to the comics. Even if Sasha did blow the scent off our group for a second. Negan still knew Rick had a plan in the end. These were all my main thoughts. I wasn't trying to start anything with my review. Just how I felt seeing the episode.

Where's the rate thread???
Pros: Good. David is dead
Alright - Holly, David and Negan's dialogue from the comics. Nice
Damn! Cindy punched her grandma out.
I'm not a Tara fan. But, she wasn't half bad in this episode.
Those were some good looking walkers
I fu*king knew Rosita would be making traitor Dwight's introduction to TF instead of Zeke.
Cons: I don't buy TF taking Oceanside by force just to get their guns, when the Saviors already did that and worse. But, they'd cozy up to the Garbage gang. That whole take down was stupid
The dialogue this season is so bad
