I do not believe that it will be a cliffhanger per se but I do think (and hope) that not everything is tied up in neat pretty bow. I think that we will have a definitive answer to what the first episode of season 8 will be. I think that we will all be certain that the war is officially on. Will there be bits left up in the air for speculation and discussion over the summer? I certainly hope so

A cliffhanger wouldn't surprise me, but I don't dislike them and I'm used to them. I watched Lost and that cliffhanged me like a bitch so many times lol. My first complaint is that AMC counts commercials so it will actually be 60 minutes long

I hate everything about this show. That's my complaint. We're still talking about "Days of our Lives", right?

We definitely have to have some things to speculate over during the summer. Especially with the gang only gearing up for war. So many things can go wrong and so many schemes can be put into play. We all expect someone to die. I just don't want them to leave us hanging on who it was again. That way one of the things we'll have to talk about is how we feel about losing that character. Not debate who we think it was or if the media will spoil it. But that's just me.

Serious moment here guys...this is not the Jesus fangirl Danae complaining. This is The Walking Dead fangirl Danae complaining. I hate that gimple and co are once again basically ignoring a great comic character. Abraham's character was not used to its full potential nor was Tyreese. And once again they are going to under utilize a great character....yes Jesus. The character is so awesome in the books and it saddens me and pisses me off that the character is being treated as a secondary. And this is why I resent the character of daryl....his being in the story waters down otherwise great characters. the characters of tyreese and abraham suffered because of the presence of daryl and now the character of jesus is meeting the same fate. I suppose the best I can hope for at this point is that he becomes maggie's greatest ally and right hand man sooner rather than later
also...I am not a fan of cheesy moments. the rally the troops music near the end while the gunfight was going on....a bit too cheesy. but the cheesiest part of all that made me roll my eyes, the leaders of each community on that platform. cheesy indeed.
I rarely post in the complaint thread so you know these things must really bother me LOL

1. I've said it before; am saying it again: why in God's name Rick would turn over a bunch of guns to a group of duious skill AND ethics is beyond me. Smart man doing stupid thing bothers me immensely.
2. As you could probably infer from the LR thread, I have grown well and truly tired of Negan. The most I ever liked him was when all hell broke loose and he actually had to do something, not just the usual P&L (Preen and Lean).

I did not like this finale. I know everyone says last year's finale was the worst, but at least it was good leading up to that horrible cliffhanger.
This finale was lackluster and boring. It wasn't all horrible but I was expecting more.
Who's a worse showrunner, Gimple or Mazarra? We should make a poll. lol

I've never been a huge fan of Daryl, but I've always rooted for him as a part of the family after the Sophia saga of S2. But the writers insisting on keeping him in the story for fanfare did stifle the development of other characters. I agree about Jesus. I also hope that next season Jesus' role in the story will be much bigger. I just think there is more to his character than messenger and diplomat.

Agree with Danae, thought the end of the episode was far too soppy.
I get why some people would complain about Negan's antics, but who's really getting on my nerves is Ezekiel and his lofty talk. Eugene a close second.
Them trusting the Scavengers in the first place made no sense, even though it was in keeping with Rick's usual erratic decision making.
Sorry that I was wrong about Eugene, I just hope they won't make him turn back again now. Just kill him off already.
Oh yeah and The Kingdom coming in at just the right moment. It was pushing it at Terminus already, enough of it!

I war with myself over feeling this way because there was a time when I liked the character a great deal. And there are still times this season that I either (1) felt bad for what he was going through or (2) relieved that he had escaped from the clutches of Negan. But overall I do think that the character of Daryl has resulted in greater characters not being realized and I just cannot completely rid myself of the resentment and seem to end up back at square one of resenting the character.
