TWDF was the first forum I ever joined. From time to time I would lurk on the AMC message boards (or even farther back on the ABC message boards about Lost). But I never joined. So even with all the problems on TWDF it holds a special place in my fangirl heart. In RL I am surrounded by casual viewers of TWD or those who have no idea what TWD is even about. So to find a place where I could cheer, vent, cry, cheer and vent some more was great. I joined the forum in October 2013 but I continued to lurk. Do not think I made my first post until April of 2014 and it was great fun for a pretty good run. But then the forum began to lose some of its luster so to speak. A lot of fun people left or in some cases were banned (some of those instances I still do not understand the why's of) and the forum just felt as though it were slowly changing into something else. And then the hack and the subsequent new format and then the server issues. Those were like three strikes for a great number of members. All of this rambling is my pre-cursor to giving thanks and huge kudos to page PepperAnn and Thales Targaryen for developing and working on this forum. It felt like "home" the minute I had my name registered and my avatar chosen. So, thank you for giving me back a little slice of the interwebs where I can chat, discuss, drool over pics of Rick and Jesus, and generally have a laugh or two or ten with other fans, goobs and heathens! |

I just love talking about the show with other rabid fans. Work can be pretty fast paced so I don't get to talk enough with coworkers. TWDF gave me that outlet to share my thoughts and opinions as well as get other fans takes on the show and it's great characters and the choices they have to make. And it's been pretty cool meeting most of the fellow posters through their words on the Forum. I will still stick to TWDF. I really hope they get a handle on the technical issues soon. But now I have 2 great Forums to communicate with fellow TWD fans on. Fine by me.
