We need a currently reading thread to see who is reading what and if it is any good.
I am currently alternating between rereading Stephen Kings Dark Tower series and The War Hammer Horus Heresy series. When I wrap those up I am going to troll my local book stores for old pulp books. Been wanting to read some old sci fi / fantasy books like Robert E Howard and Isaac Osimov. Most of these in my area can be had for next to nothing and they are the old 70s editions with killer cover art.

Ah come on, you can have those for a tenner on your soulless electronic tablet without leaving the house.
Read a shitload over the festive period, one of them my first read of the first Dark Tower installment. Taking a bit of a reading break right now.
Still have to finish Good Omens from Pratchett & Gaiman before the movie comes out though.

I know it's practical and all, but I could never warm to the idea of kindles and the likes. Don't think I could dive into it as much.
Oh yeah, also finally got The Frood by Jem Roberts, basically a family authorised official history of my hero, Douglas Adams. Need to find some time to get into that.

Carrie Fisher's most recent memoir, The Princess Diarist. Then I've been told by my friend that I need to finish his copy of Rogue One: Catalyst. Then I'll finish Gone Girl, and maybe one of these days finish A Clash of Kings.

I just couldn't get into them.

The author of the book wrote the script for the movie and apparently changed things plot-wise, so it's a different experience for readers and viewers. I've only made it a few chapters in (I'm horrible at keeping up with things) but I liked it so far.

I LOVE discovering books after I have watched the movie already since the experience is so much better than book to movie. I already have it downloaded. Will start it tomorrow. <3

Didn't know they deliberately changed things up for book and movie. Will definitely get on that as well.

I was drawn to them due to that connection. That and almost all of his books connect to the Tower .

It's the sequel to Talisman which is one of my all time fave SK books. Black House was not as good but it was really good. lol

I have to but a new copy every three or so years as I read it every fall. The Wolf parts still get me in the feels!
