I was SO happy that rick did not cave when face to face with negan. he knew that it did not matter if he wept or spit in negan's face. the outcome was going to be the same. and when he told negan once again "it may not be today, it may not be tomorow, but I will kill you" and then he leaned into him and told him something else (will need to rewatch)...that was awesome.
and I loved how pissed it made negan that rick was on his knees yet standing up to Negan. negan knew he had lost control of rick and the anger in his face was an awesome sight.

But now he knows that Rick is not his bitch. He has a serious arch enemy on his hands. |

That scene was INTENSE, great acting by Andy and JDM! Negan told him he's gonna kill Carl, so it makes sense for Rick to stop giving any fucks. When is Hollywood gonna give Andy some awards? That scene was fucking AMAZING. I think one of the best interactions Negan's had with another person on the entire show. Rick has reached a turning point, and like Gimple said on Talking Dead, Michonne helped him to get there. He no longer is going to be oppressed and let Negan break him again. As you said, Negan knows this now. He's angry but I really think he's now got some actual respect for Rick for getting his balls back and standing up to him. Negan likes when people don't act scared of him, he appreciates brutal honesty, as he is that way himself. GUH so amazing. |
