I am very curious to know if there was a prior connection between the scavengers and saviors.
are they some sort of off shoot from the saviors? an alliance already existed between them?
otherwise how would Jadis have known where to find negan to make a deal with him?
I do not recall rick giving them an indication where the sanctuary might be.

I think they knew about each other but it doesn't appear that junkyard worked for Negan.

I do not recall rick giving them an indication where the sanctuary might be. I am too, when I re-watch I'm going to play close attention, but here's what popped into my head... The most glaring is the fact that Jadis kept pushing for weapons weapons weapons. Same MO as the Saviors, exactly the same. Not to mention, her demeanor, along with the rest of the Scavengers, is a parallel to Negan and the Saviors. They all think alike. They just do what they can to get the supplies they want, they don't CARE. Not like The Kingdom or Hilltop. We know that Jadis said that they followed the people going to the boat, and I have to re-watch for sure but I think that whatever her name is that was following Rick and Aaron got wind of their connection to the Saviors and passed it on to Jadis. We know that Jadis and the Scavengers had been following them at least that long, and in addition, most likely witnessed a Saviors visit to ASZ. They could just have just stopped the Saviors on their way out at some point and posed the deal then. Negan was talking about a "little birdie told him" the episode before this one, and of course we know that had to have been Jadis. I'm thinking Jadis struck the deal with Negan maybe even before Rick and co. got to the Junkyard, she wanted to get all she could from him weapons-wise and the only way to do that was to pretend to make a deal. Then she probably reported back to Negan to let him know that Rick was definitely building up a resistance. ETA: I don't think Jadis knew about the Saviors until after they started following Rick and spying on the ASZ. The way she said she "struck a better deal", it seemed to me to come across as a happenstance sort of way that they connected while spying on Rick and co.

Maybe if I brought her a cat statue?

I was going to say Negan and Jadis was sleeping together. But Negan wouldn't mess with Trash. Hahahaha!

You know...this is probably not the case, but I like the idea that maybe Jadis and her crew used to be a part of The Saviors. Hell maybe Jadis was like his right hand person or even co-leader. That's the only way it makes sense that Negan doesn't have her under his thumb. Maybe they had some sort of falling out and she left and took her followers with her. And they co-exist in a sort of murky truce. Kind of like getting along better when you aren't living together. Far-fetched but I like entertaining that idea.
