I'm sorry to repot that John Warren "J." Geils Jr., guitarist and founder of the Boston based rock group The J. Geils Band, passed away at  his home in Groton, MA.  He was 71-years-old.

The J. Geils Band, with lead singer, Peter Wolf, were a popular rock band in the 70's and early 80s.  Some of their most popular songs included "Must of Got Lost", "Looking for a Love,"  and "Freeze Frame", from their 1982 hit album "Freeze Frame".
